Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Overview

Avitree operates a direct-to-customer (D2C) home delivery model across India — no in-store pickup required. This Policy describes our delivery processes, timelines, charges, and your responsibilities upon receiving an order. It applies to all orders placed on www.avitreebikes.com and www.avitreeworld.com.

2. Order Processing

      Orders are processed on business days (Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays).

      An Order Confirmation email is sent within minutes of a successful order placement.

      Payment verification and stock checks are completed within 24 hours of order placement.

      Each bicycle is pre-inspected and securely packed by our warehouse team before dispatch.

      A Dispatch Confirmation email containing the courier tracking number is sent once the order leaves our warehouse.

3. Delivery Timelines

Metro Cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata) receive delivery within 3–5 business days after dispatch confirmation. Tier-2 & Tier-3 Cities receive delivery within 5–7 business days after dispatch confirmation. Remote / Rural & North-East India receives delivery within 7–12 business days, with delays possible due to logistics constraints. Accessories & Spare Parts are delivered within 3–7 business days and are typically faster than bicycle shipments. Pre-Order / Out-of-Stock Items are delivered as communicated at checkout, with updates sent by email once stock is confirmed.

These timelines are estimates. Avitree is not liable for delays caused by courier operations, natural disasters, public holidays, or Force Majeure events. Known delays will be communicated proactively.

4. Shipping Charges

For Bicycles to Serviceable Pincodes, charges are as displayed at checkout and typically range from INR 0 to 1,500 based on location. For Accessories & Spare Parts, charges are as displayed at checkout and usually range from INR 0 to 200 based on weight and pincode. A Remote Area Surcharge is applied as an additional charge at checkout for pincodes classified as remote by logistics partners. Expedited / Priority Shipping is available on select orders with charges shown at checkout, subject to pincode availability.

Avitree reserves the right to revise shipping charges without prior notice. The charge at order confirmation is final.

5. Remote Area Deliveries

      An additional surcharge is levied and displayed at checkout before payment for remote pincodes.

      Delivery timelines may extend to 12–15 business days for remote areas.

      If no courier partner covers the pincode, Avitree will contact the Customer to arrange an alternative or offer a full refund.

      Serviceability is confirmed automatically at checkout when you enter your pincode.

Customers in remote areas are encouraged to confirm serviceability before placing an order by writing to connect@avitreeworld.com.

6. Delivery Inspection Guidelines

Before Accepting the Package

      Photograph or video-record the outer packaging before opening (ensure the recording is date-stamped).

      Inspect the outer box for damage, dents, tears, or evidence of tampering.

      If the box is visibly damaged or shows signs of having been opened, DO NOT accept delivery. Mark 'Refused — Damaged Packaging' on the courier's Proof of Delivery (POD) slip and contact Avitree immediately.

Upon Opening the Package

      Verify that the model, colour, and size of the bicycle match your order confirmation.

      Check for any visible physical damage to the frame, components, or accessories.

      Confirm all items in the packing checklist are present — including pedals, warranty card, instruction manual, and assembly tools.

      Report any discrepancy, damage, or missing item within 48 hours of delivery with supporting photographs or video.

Failure to report damage or missing items within 48 hours may render the claim ineligible for refund or replacement.

7. Assembly & Installation Support

Avitree bicycles are delivered in approximately 85% assembled condition to ensure safe transit. The following steps are required after delivery:

      Install the pedals (right pedal = clockwise thread; left pedal = anti-clockwise thread) using the spanner in the small parts box.

      Adjust the handlebar to the desired riding position and tighten the stem bolts to the recommended torque (refer to the instruction manual).

      Fit any accessories ordered separately as per the included instructions.

      Inflate tyres to the recommended PSI stated on the tyre sidewall.

      Perform a pre-ride safety check: brakes engage firmly, gears shift smoothly, all bolts are tight, saddle height is adjusted correctly.

7.1 Dealer-Assisted Assembly

Customers who prefer professional assembly may visit any authorised Avitree dealer. Assembly service charges (if applicable) are at the dealer's discretion. Avitree encourages dealers to offer complimentary assembly for new bicycle purchases.

7.2 Home Assembly Service (Select Cities)

Doorstep assembly is available in select cities through authorised service partners. Contact connect@avitreeworld.com to check availability in your city.

8. Order Tracking

      A tracking number and carrier name are sent to your registered email and mobile number after dispatch.

      Orders can be tracked via the carrier's website or the 'My Orders' section of your Avitree account.

      If the tracking link is non-functional or no movement is shown for 3+ business days after dispatch, contact connect@avitreeworld.com.

9. Undelivered & RTO (Returned-to-Origin) Orders

      The courier will attempt re-delivery up to two times if delivery fails due to incorrect address or recipient unavailability.

      After two failed attempts, the order may be returned to Avitree's warehouse. The Customer will be notified by email or SMS.

      If the Customer does not respond within 7 business days of the RTO notification, the order will be cancelled and a refund processed after deducting original shipping charges.
